This gentleman is a 55 year old male with swelling of the left lower leg and bulging veins of the calf, present for greater than 10 years. His ultrasound examination showed reflux in his small saphenous vein with the pressure from the reflux producing the varicose veins pictured. He had radiofrequency closure of the small saphenous vein and microphlebectomy. The photo on the right is eight weeks post-treatment.
