What to Expect
At your first appointment, you will not only meet with Dr. Reeder for a full evaluation, but you will also see our venous sonographer for a painless Doppler ultrasound vein analysis, in order to map the exact areas that are causing you concern. Dr. Reeder will evaluate your test results and talk with you to discuss both your condition and explain your treatment options. Then you and Dr. Reeder will decide the best course of treatment and you will be given information on how to prepare.
Dr. Reeder will talk with you about any medications you’re on and which ones may need to be avoided immediately before and after your treatment. You’ll also find out what to wear on the day of your procedure and what to expect in terms of postprocedure pain – which is usually minimal, due to the minimally invasive vein treatments Dr. Reeder uses.
We encourage you to talk with us about any concerns you may have so that we can make sure you are fully informed and confident in the care you receive at the Reeder Vein Institute.
